Terms of use

End-user licence agreement · Last updated 28 October 2026

These terms apply to everyone who uses Steward, the internal accounting tool of the company that operates it (the “operating group”). By signing in you accept them.

Internal use only

Steward is licensed for the internal use of the operating group’s entities only. It may be used only by staff and advisers the operating group has authorised, each signed in with their own account. It may not be resold, sublicensed or offered to others.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep your sign-in account secure and do not share it.
  • Use Steward only for the operating group’s accounting work.
  • Check drafts, figures and reports before relying on them.
  • Upload only documents that belong to the operating group’s business.
  • Report suspected errors or unauthorised access to your administrator promptly.

Accountant approval

Steward prepares drafts. Nothing is posted to the ledger (QuickBooks) without the accountant’s explicit approval, and every change is recorded in an audit log.

Provided as is

Steward is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Suggestions, matches and reports are aids, not professional advice; responsibility for the books stays with the operating group and its accountant. To the extent the law allows, the operating group is not liable for losses arising from the use of Steward.

Changes and withdrawal

The operating group may change these terms, change or withdraw Steward, or remove a user’s access at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

Privacy

How Steward handles data is described in the privacy policy.
